Philanthropy

Kappa Delta is more than just having fun. KD's believe in giving back to the community and helping out others..

Kappa Delta Sorority has the most philanthropies of any other NPC group...

               Girls Scouts of America ~ Delta Mu works closely with a local Girl
                        Scout Troop by going to their meetings, taking them on camping trips, help them
                        sell Girl Scout cookies and many other activities.  We even have our own
                        Kappa Delta/Girl Scout Patch that troops work very hard to earn. 

                 Prevent Child Abuse America ~ Each March we conduct our
                        Shamrock project where we raise money to help prevent child abuse. Our "Mr.
                        Shamrock Pageant" brings the Newberry campus together for a night of
                        entertainment by NC's finest men.  Collectively, Kappa Deltas across the world
                        have given over $5 million dollars in support of the prevention of child abuse. 

               American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS)  ~
                        Kappa Delta has given over $1.2 million dollars to the  AAOS in order to help
                        with orthopedic research.

                          Children's Hospital in Richmond Virginia ~ The Kappa Delta
                        Foundation Children in Need Fund donates $25,000 annually directly to the
                        hospital in honor of our historical commitment.
