LiveText
You will be using LiveText for this class. There will be times when we will not meet face-to-face and you will find and submit assignments via LiveText. You will need to register for LiveText. Please do this by the second week of class. To explain how to register, click here for LiveText regisration instructions.
The PowerPoint also details how to create and submit a LiveText document. You must be able to do this to get your assignments graded!
Grades
Improvement on projects and exams is an important factor in grades. If you receive a 50 on the first test and a 90 on the second test, I average those grades and the average becomes the first exam grade. In this case a 70 (50 + 90=140/2=70). If you would like to improve your grade, you need to change your study habits, otherwise you are likely to get around the same grade on the next exam or project. To check on your grades, use Wolf Den.
Undergraduate Skills
I have compiled some handouts on how to negotiate this and other classes. These handouts discuss how to do well on essay, multiple choice, and true-false tests, how to prepare for tests, how to develop a great PowerPoint presentation, how to write positions papers, how to contribute to class discussion, and much more. If you are interested in getting additional perspectives on how to do well in the classroom, click here for these study guides.
