BIO 481/482 - BIOLOGY SEMINAR - SPRING 2012
(for Biology majors)
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Seminar is a two semester series of courses to learn more about current research in Biology. Further, seniors will work on their presentation skills. Juniors will listen to and critique presentations while seniors will be required to make two presentations. Many of the basic ideas for this course come from the core course Public Speaking (SPE 110). However, we will tailor the information specifically for science presentations.
As part of graduation requirements for the Biology majors, students must enroll and successfully complete two seminars.
All courses are one credit hour and all meet at the same time (Friday at 10 am). Students who are double majors do not (cannot) sign up for both departmental listings (BIO and CHE); but sign up for one or the other.
